T he B-52’s didn’t rebuild in one day, but “Roam” and “Love Shack” made it seem that way. Not to detract from the band, but some of their newfound success belonged to producers Nile Rodgers and Don Was, who divined lush arrangements from a band with scant few musicians. Add MTV into the equation, and a visual band like The B-52's catches fire again. Both songs on the 7-inch single come from Cosmic Thing, with various remixes of “Roam” spread across the 12-inch and CD single.
