A great knockoff of The Cars. Orr not. Depends on whether “Drive” got your motor running. You can’t fault Benjamin for trying to cash in on The Cars’ success, but if “Stay The Night” and “That’s The Way” are any indication, skipping The Lace is no loss. The B side at least tries to tap into the quirkier side of synth pop, not unlike a male version of The Bangles. In fact, with a little lipstick, he’d have fit right in.
