I must be feeling charitable this morning. “Cheap The Bullet” didn’t do much for me the first time around, but here on a 12-inch single it sounds as good as the stuff Asia was firing off in 1990. The B side includes “Shadows On The Sky,” a non-LP track (available on CD) that sounds like it escaped from The Lion King, and the live version of “Berlin” found on the earlier Glasnost. BJH continued to release polished music at a point when their contemporaries (Supertramp, The Moody Blues) were waning or watching the show from home, so kudos for still standing after all these years. I guess that’s what I meant by charity. Note that the elpee and 12-inch versions of “Cheap The Bullet” are identical.
