P aranoid, are you? There’s a name for people like you: Iron Man, Cinderella Man, 21st Century Schizoid Man. Getting inside the outcast is a time-honored tradition in rock and roll, from “Fool on the Hill” to “Renegade.” The original B side is another archetype, The Wizard. Heep’s handled the theme a couple of times, Tull too. Of minor interest, Warner Brothers reissued “Paranoid” and “Iron Man” together as part of their Back To Back Hits series, this time with the album version of “Iron Man” rather than the 3:33 single version incorrectly listed on the sleeve. You know, that stop watch is water resistant too. Best darn gift I ever got.
