The Call
On their first two albums, The Call wanted to save the world. From then on, Michael Been was more interested in saving your soul. Been was that rarity--the openly Christian rock star--though The Call's popularity never rested on the Christian message found in songs like "Everywhere I Go" and "I Still Believe (Great Design)." Of very minor interest, Al Gore used "Let The Day Begin" as part of his presidential campaign. I wonder how many votes that cost him.
