A s a treat for the new Greatest Hits album, The Cars released a new track: “Tonight She Comes.” It’s not the most enduring song by the band, but as a genre exercise in synth rock saccharine it’s a sweet gesture. The B side features The Cars’ first hit, “Just What I Needed,” which is working for Circuit City these days. Distinguishing the vocals of Benjamin Orr and Ric Ocasek usually gives me fits, so for practice you may want to listen to the A side (Ric Ocasek) against the B side (Benjamin Orr).
