S ome songs really shouldn’t be re-done: “You Really Got Me,” “Sympathy for the Devil,” “Don’t Be Cruel.” (I could make a longer list, but you’ve got things to do, right?) And it’s kind of a shame that the band went back to The King, just as they double-dipped with The Beatles with “Magical Mystery Tour.” This is Cheap Trick after all, not David Lee Roth. The B side is a live version of the classic “I Know What I Want” from Daytona Beach. Tom Petersson sounds pretty nasally (maybe he always did), but I don’t think the people in Daytona Beach deserved a better version.
