Progrography

Crowded House
The enz of one band, the beginning of another. Neil Finn and Paul Hester left the latter-day living space of Split Enz and, together with bassist Nick Seymour, formed Crowded House. Their debut featured the sweeping, eclectic sound that producer Mitchell Froom (Matthew Penn, Sheryl Crow) was fast becoming known for, combined with the pop songwriting smarts that Neil always had been (known for). Tim Finn joined the band briefly for Woodface, arguably their best album. Crowded House's last album of new material was released in 1993, though Tim and Neil continue to work together as The Finn Brothers.
