Dave Mason
A founding member of Traffic, Dave Mason took a solo detour after two albums, beginning with the well-received Alone Together. An even stranger detour was a collaboration with Cass Elliot, followed by albums that fit in with (and slightly behind) the leading guitar-slinging songwriters of the day: Eric Clapton, Stephen Stills, Carlos Santana, George Harrison, etc. His biggest hit remains "We Just Disagree" from 1977's Let It Flow, which is kind of unfortunate.
