L ow is like half a box of chocolates, “Be My Wife” being one of those sweet confections you pop in your mouth and devour quickly. It’s heaven for a few seconds, then gone, and you’re left with a tiny pang of regret that you didn’t savor the experience more. Then there’s those chewy instrumental quince logs to contend with. (I bought the promo single, so I got two cherries.) “Be My Wife” is one I'd play at my wedding, though I expect my wife would be smart enough to avoid that car crash and leave song selection to a neutral third party. Still, I can't help but speculate on a shortlist of stardust memories: Heroes, Let's Dance, The Prettiest Star, Tonight, and maybe Rock 'n' Roll With Me.
