A concept album! I haven't heard it yet, but it's received good reviews. Of course, I've noticed that bands tend to get better reviews as they get older, perhaps because the people who purchase (and subsequently review) the disc are longtime fans. Thus you get torchlit insight like "a brilliant return to form" when it's the same old same old, or "outrocks the youngsters they inspired" when a band tries to update their sound, et cetera. Note that I'm guilty of this myself (Uriah Heep and Black Sabbath come to mind), but there is no magical stylus cleaner to scrape away the sentiment and loyalty that accrue over the years. I suppose it's the same blessed blindness that makes loved ones evergreen in our eyes.
JIMMY BAIN -- bass
RONNIE JAMES DIO -- vocals
CRAIG GOLDY -- guitars
SIMON WIRGHT -- drums
