Echo & The Bunnymen
Echo & The Bunnymen were kind of a cross between U2 and The Cure, musically & visually, but less intense. The band never caught on in the US and broke up after five albums, sputtering reunions notwithstanding, leaving behind one great album (Ocean Rain) and a few good ones. Vocalist Ian McCulloch (he of the high hair) has released a few solo albums, including the Ray Shulman-produced Candeland.
