T he advance single from Balance of Power is a pleasant throwback, recalling Lynne’s work with Roy Orbison. The lyric also puts a new twist on an old rock & roll problem: the vagaries of telephony and true love. The B side is a nonalbum track that sounds less bubbly than and slightly inferior to most of the material that made up Balance of Power. If you’re building a complete collection of ELO, you’ll want to know that “Caught In A Trap” doesn’t appear to exist anywhere else (yet). Just don’t get caught paying too much for it (a few bucks is reasonable).
