A nd then one day the unthinkable happened: ELO released a bouncy, new single and nobody cared. In a post-Laurie Anderson world, of course, popís irrelevance was inevitable. Xanadu was over, rollerdisco was dead, and its reigning king no longer held court in the high charts. Seriously, those who missed the meek Balance of Power werenít missing much; the second single reveals it to be so much fluff. Pleasant fluff, but we werenít living in a marshmallow world anymore. Of minor interest, the UK single featured a nonalbum track on the B side, ďA Matter of Fact,Ē that later turned up on the authoritative Afterglow.
