C hartwise, “See What Love Can Do” didn’t do much, though the B side bore watching. “She’s Waiting,” written about his wife Patti (they divorced in 1988), is the better track and actually served as the A side in the UK. Although it’s overproduced (most of Behind The Sun was), it’s also one of the most memorable pop songs from Clapton’s ‘80s output. The single version of “She’s Waiting” runs about a half-minute shorter than its elpee counterpart, largely by shaving the original, excessive ending down.
