T his always reminds me of the monkey’s paw, but then I’m sort of emotionally stunted that way. Actually, I find that rational people are often very emotional people who’ve built walls of logic around their tender hearts, while emotional people are usually selfish and undisciplined. Which is probably why no one’s asking me to write a motivational Thought For The Day calendar. (Thursday, April 7: Love is how Ego explains the deferment of its own desires.)
