Frank Black
Charles Michael Kitridge Thompson IV a/k/a Black Francis a/k/a Frank Black made a name for himself as the frontman for the incredible Pixies. He left the Pixies in the dust after 1991 for a solo career that never generated the same level of excitement. His music tends toward the more melodic side of the Pixies, with plenty of bar-chord power-pop-punk fury.
