D ance of the Illegal Aliens, anyone? Perhaps taking the old Brand X title as inspiration (not to mention the melody to “Soho”), Genesis recorded “Illegal Alien” as part of their self-titled pseudo-concept album. It’s a nice track, silly on the surface but pretty dark underneath, following the format established on Abacab. The flip side is a nonalbum live version of “Turn It On Again,” different from the performance caught on Three Sides Live, but not much different. A shaped picture disc was released in the UK, while a 12-inch issued in the US (which I haven’t seen yet) seems to include an extended version of “Illegal Alien.”
