Whether it’s a finely wrought ballad or just good make-out music, “In Too Deep” is above all a catchy song (although I can’t draw the distinction between this Genesis song and Phil’s solo work). “I’d Rather Be You” is a Motown-inspired number that lacks focus, but it is more upbeat than much of the music that made it onto Invisible Touch.
