Gordon Haskell
A minor psychedelic figure whose spotlight moment came on King Crimson's second album: the hushed, luminous "Cadence and Cascade." Haskell appeared as a full-time member on the follow-up, Lizard, then left and released the ignored and poorly titled It Is And It Isn't. A few European releases in the '90s partially resurrected his recording career as a smokey baritone jazz crooner & guitarist, capped by 2001's surprise ending when "How Wonderful You Are" soared to #2 in the UK. The paisley-to-rags-to-riches story continued into the following year with Harry's Bar and Shadows On The Wall.
