T This single puts The Up Escalator’s best two feet forward, “No Holding Back” and “Endless Night” (mistakenly listed as "Endless Nights" on this single). The first song, like “Temporary Beauty” after it, is romantic and a little softer than usual, too clever to be commercial but a conscious move in that direction nonetheless. The B side (although there really is no A or B in this case) is a scorcher that enlists no less a luminary than Bruce Springsteen to help with the snarling delivery. These are the best songs from the album The Up Escalator, so this is a pretty effective (if misleading) promo.
