Harold Budd Discography

One of two stern-faced fellers (the other being Jon Hassell) who piqued my curiosity on the 80s EG sleeves enough to warrant a flyer with Ambient 2. Listening to piano notes seesaw like dust motes caught in sun, I found a childlike quality to Budd's music that reappears in his better work, and an iciness as well that should attract similarly stern-faced minimalists. Progressive music if you buy into the idea that avant-garde minimalist piano music can be progressive. Of the Eno collaborators (Cluster, Hassell, Laraaji) I keep digging deeper into Budd, if that tells you anything.
