T his is one of my favorites from Icehouse, and I’m sure I’m not alone. Since I have Man of Colours on cassette (and I’m not going back there), I can’t tell you what the difference is between the elpee version and the single version presented here. The B side on the 7-inch is the nonalbum “Over My Head,” a rare case where several band members receive cowriting credit. Perhaps its inclusion here was payback for services rendered over the years. It rocks a little harder than your usual Icehouse track, though you can find out for yourself by purchasing the expanded reissue of Man of Colours. 12-inch releases included “Electric Blue” in various remixes.
