Progrography

The J. Geils Band
Along with The Cars, The Pixies and Aerosmith, The J. Geils Band were one of the best acts to come out of Boston. Their music was a mix of classic R&B and 70s rock, similar to Steve Miller Band. The group had always enjoyed modest success until 1981's platinum-selling Freeze-Frame, which also proved to be their undoing as frontman Peter Wolf left soon after for a solo career.
