T he third (and final) single from Show Some Emotion, “Warm Love” is probably the best thing on there after “Willow” and the title track. There’s a trace of disco in the smooth production and lush orchestration, and Joan’s voice high and fragile like a kite. The B side is a nonalbum track, “No Way Out,” that got pressed into service for various singles around this time. It’s a surprisingly good track, though short (barely two minutes), probably would have felt at home on Pretzel Logic and is a sight better than some of her album tracks.
