Jon Anderson
The voice of Yes, 'nuff said. During the band's first hiatus, Jon released the airy fairy tale, Olias of Sunhillow. More solo albums followed in the Eighties, including two collaborations with Vangelis (once considered as Rick Wakeman's replacement in Yes). Through the Nineties, Anderson balanced his solo ventures (now increasingly uncommercial) with the profitable Yes reunions. While some of his albums (Olias, Seven, Deseo) are better than others (3 Ships, Toltec), at the center of all his work is the same warm, curious spirit and that magic, angelic voice.
