Kasim Sulton
The "cute" guy from Utopia, although Todd fans may beg to differ. Because Utopia was a band and not one of those ego-feeding vehicles like Tin Machine or World Party or Utopia, Sulton had a chance to hone his singing and songwriting before his first solo release in 1982, entitled Kasim. It's not a bad record, but even Utopia fans can opt out if they want.
