B olan for American dollars, which LnR atones for with the wonderfully strange flip side, “Dreamtime.” The A side is a smart re-creation of vintage T. Rex, slowed down to sound more sexy and more sinister. It’s not their finest moment, but it’s not Power Station either. The eight-minute B side is where my interest lies: a collage of music and dialogue that proves the revolution (number 9) is still being fomented by libelous tape recorders. It later showed up on the expanded reissue of their eponymous 1989 album.
