Mutha's Day Out
Mostly teenagers when they were signed, Mutha's Day Out followed in the footsteps of rap/metal pioneers Beastie Boys, Faith No More, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc. Their breakthrough moment came in 1995 with an appearance in Mortal Kombat, by which time the band was already breaking apart. My Soul Is Wet is a decent genre exercise, better than their years would indicate but derivative like most debuts.
