T his is why I flip through musty dollar bins of promotional singles when I travel. I picked this up in Berkeley at a book/record store on Solano, hiding between old Cameo singles. It’s unlikely that DJs even realized what this was, an edited (and full album) version of light island keyboard music from synthesizer whiz Patrick Moraz. Similar in scope and sound to the lighter moments of Rick Wakeman’s Criminal Record, it’s one of the most accessible entries from Patrick Moraz the album. The “short” version simply picks up a little later in the story and jettisons the decompressing ending.
