T hrowing It All Away recycled, or Don’t Shred A Tear. It’s a marvelous song, sung with as much passion as a pasty Englishman can credibly evince (wrote the pasty American). The elpee version was a minute longer and had a wrought-over ending. The single version simply ends, which isn’t bad either. The B side is a downbeat R&B track, “Merilee,” produced by Langer and Winstanley with their usual sloughy and synthetic touch. It doesn’t appear to appear on any Paul Carrack album, appearently.
