Philip Glass
A modern classical composer known for his kaleidoscopic music comprised (primarily) of constantly shifting organ, soprano and saxophone. Glass has produced operas, film scores and even pop music, and thus is often aligned with popular musicians like Brian Eno and John Cale. The trouble with any modern-day composer's discography is whether (and where) to separate the line between performance and composition. I haven't figured that one out yet, so the list below includes works performed by Glass as well as performances of his music by Michael Riesman and The Philip Glass Ensemble, the Kronos Quartet and others.
