The brooding bard behind Pink Floyd left that band after The Final Cut to pursue his own imaginary windmills. No more or less successful than Pete Townshend, the solo music of Roger Waters recalls a constipated version of his former band, to my ears anyway. Still, there are many who would champion Waters' solo works, so dive right in if you're so inclined. But if The Final Cut was the last straw, move on, since it doesn't get any better than that here.
