
Yes, as in Graham Parker and The Rumour. That Rumour. Could've called themselves Brinsley Schwarz again, but they stuck with The Rumour. Max mixed originals with a few covers, garnered minimal interest and failed to produce a compelling single. The next two records were quirkier and poppier, but fell in the shadow of superior works by Parker, Nick Lowe, Dave Edmunds, Squeeze, Joe Jackson, Elvis Costello, my fingers are getting tired of typing and you get the picture.
