The Sex Pistols released the shot heard 'round the world, "Anarchy In The U.K.," in 1976 and music hasn't been the same since. As a testament to the band's influence, consider the discography below. Not bad for a band that released one crummy album and then broke up. The remaining "legitimate" releases (Swindle, Some Product, Flogging) were compilations that made no pretense about their true nature, while 1996's Filthy Lucre Live was what it was: a cash infusion reunion. And then there's all these illegitimate bastards mucking about, so be careful before taking any of them home.
