Stan Ridgway
Stan was the eccentric centerpiece in Wall of Voodoo, a band best remembered for the single "Mexican Radio." A successful solo career hardly seemed assured, and yet Ridgway impressed critics with intelligent albums like The Big Heat and Mosquitos, which were driven by Ridgway's pulp fiction narratives and featured the sort of smart arrangements you might find on a latter-day Joe Jackson album. More recently, Ridgway has score film/multimedia projects and even released an album of children's songs.
