M editate, medicate, do whatever it takes, but tune into Motivation Radio. Presented as ďa multidimensional window,Ē itís a remarkable musical journey that fills the listener with positive energy. I know, that sounds sooo new agey, so let me explain. I donít listen to this record, I lose myself in it. For forty minutes, my grey little world becomes a technicolor landscape where flying saucers and octave doctors come to life on crackling waves of energy. Still not helping? Okay, then think about Pink Floyd. Remember how Dark Side and Wish You Were Here transported you to another place? Well, Motivation Radio does the same, only itís a much friendlier place. The sounds, the melodies, the musicality of it all conspires to make me drop my guard, and before I know it Iím no longer listening to the music, Iím breathing it. Maybe itís just a harmonic thing, and youíre either tuned into this kind of music (in which case Gongís You is probably one of your favorites) or youíre not. The cynic in me can see where you might call this progressive pop that panders to space cadets. But if thatís the case, slap some space officer stripes on me and call me sir. If you need more motivation, check out the review at All Music Guide. Oh, and check out Todd Rundgrenís Healing too. Has the same effect on me for some reason.
