I remember taking umbrage with the charge that Miller’s mid-70s resurgence was attributable to his recycling familiar rock and roll riffs, since it all sounded fresh to me. I wouldn’t want to defend myself while “Heart Like A Wheel” was playing in the background, though. It’s basically a retrofied version of “Rock ‘N Me,” which is fine with me, though there’s not a whole lot that separates this from, say, a “Footloose.” The B side, “True Fine Love,” is one of my favorites from Steve. In Europe, “Jet Airliner” landed on the flip.
