T he unofficial theme song of Progrography! This reminds me of Foreigner, so the satyr in me’s sated (in freudspeak, id). Although the synthesizers and disco-sensible sound peg it as a product of its time (dirty laundry 4 the game?), “Too Much Time On My Hands” has aged pretty well. Rather than give away Paradise on singles, A&M drew “Queen of Spades” from Pieces of Eight as the B side. ELO used to do the same thing (pulling B sides from old albums), though whether it actually drove sales of earlier albums, well, would you buy an old album based on a B side?
