The second single from Naked was an edited version of “Blind,” another strong dose of social criticism from David Byrne and company. More interesting are the mixes of “Blind” that were issued, exposing the playful arrangement underneath the animosity. The extended remix in particular (which is the only version I own) feels like a hybrid of the original and C&C Music Factory’s “Gonna Make You Sweat” (which was still a few years away, hmmm…). I have to say I’m not a big fan of remixes in general, but the Heads’ music was made for remixing (maybe somebody will take on Remain In Light one of these days).
