T he Heads who poked out on Tongues caught fire all right, scoring their first US Top 10 single with “Burning Down The House” (and generating a second popular music video). Those who felt the band had lost their edge (myself included) may have missed the point. Underneath all the smoke is the same cutler of serrated social satire, complete with jagged melodies and sharp hooks. The 12-inch features extended versions of several tracks from Speaking In Tongues. It looks like there's a US 12-inch with a track called "Pull Up The Roots," but I haven't been able to confirm it yet.
