Here you’ll find “Crosseyed and Painless,” the long and the short of it. Released as a promotional 12-inch with an uncharacteristically utilitarian cover, this features the original album version and a “short” version that cuts a minute or so from the middle. The short version is actually less effective, bringing a trite keyboard line to the fore too quickly and losing some of the mad chemist’s laboratory environment that the original arrangement created. A German 12-inch features the album track "The Great Curve" on the flip side.
