Tim Finn
Finn the Elder, better known as the balladeer among the pair of Finns fitted to Split Enz after Dizrhythmia, Tim authored such emotive classics as "I Hope I Never," "Stuff and Nonsense" and some real ravers too ("I See Red," "Shark Attack"). In 1983, he released his first solo album, Escapade, and split from the Enz soon after. The word "mature" has been used to describe his solo music on more than one occasion, which should give the sillier Split Enz fans reason to pause and perhaps pile into Crowded House instead, although I'd say there's room for both in any record collection.
