L ook at the cover twice and you’ll notice it’s a slight variation on the original shot from the elpee cover, perhaps to underscore the egalitarian nature of Tin Machine. The band’s music had a workmanlike ethic to it, no-nonsense hard rock played by middle-aged men who (to hear them tell it) weren’t simply dishing out the flavor of the month. Since the version of “Under The God” is identical to the elpee version, and “Sacrifice Yourself” is easily available on the CD and cassette versions, the lone new attraction is the 12-minute interview with The World of Rock host Scott Muni . The history behind the band’s creation is interesting, though the interview process itself is hardly an electric exchange. When Muni makes a point of mentioning how “different” Tin Machine sounds, you have to wonder what he’s been listening to lately.
