S omebody shoot me, please. The title track from Tommy Shaw’s first elpee sounds like “Footloose” sung by Neil Finn (unfortunately for Neil Finn). The B side is cowritten by Kenny Loggins. Not that I’m picking on Kenny Loggins. Kenny “my best song was choreographed to a gopher with a hand up its ass” Loggins. Okay, so I’m picking on him. Of course, not everyone dislikes “Girls With Guns.” One AMG reviewer praised the song’s “excitable keyboard boisterousness and Shaw’s high-pitched vocal gust.” One very lonely AMG reviewer, I’m guessing. Mere styx and stones, of course, and not the proper pelting that product like this deserves.
