A sampler from Future Echoes of the Past, featuring a pair of softer cuts at the front (“Come Away Melinda,” “Heartless Land”) and two rockers at the tail end (“Time of Revelation,” “Everything In Life”). The real bonus here is the video for “Come Away Melinda,” viewable by loading the disc onto your computer and watching it through Windows Media Player. Done in black and white, it’s a mix of video shot using a young girl in a bombed-out Dresden-like locale interspersed with footage of the band doing a test-run on stage. Generally low-key, not the sort of thing that MTV deigns to play (I doubt that few of the major media brats have even heard of Uriah Heep), but a nice window into the world of Heep for the faithful.
