R emarkably fragile stuff, this “Warm Love.” Not one of my personal favorites, since Van’s “nature as the temple of the spirit” songs were always a little too airy-fairy for me. However, it does grow on you after a while (like ivy). The B side, “I Will Be There,” dates from the earlier St. Dominic’s and features an old tymie jazz arrangement. Everybody plays it straight, but it’s more of a novelty than a knockout.
