T he mignon of Mummer, sliced nicely and served cold. Interesting because it gives us a window into what would have been selected as the fourth single, “Funk Pop A Roll.” Not thirty-eight dollars interesting, as EIL’s mignons might have you believe, but at least $1 interesting (which is what I paid). The four tracks are identical to the elpee versions and the lack of any liner notes or graphics really puts this at the bottom of the XTC collectibles. Of minor interest, the front cover cites a 1984 copyright date, which I’ll confirm one of these days when I tally up all the Geffen promotional bananas.
