Blind Faith
A short-lived supergroup comprised of two parts Cream (Ginger Baker, Eric Clapton), once-and-future Traffic jammer Steve Winwood, and a member of Family (Rick Grech). The comparisons to Cream were inevitable and not uninvited, but Blind Faith was ultimately a pale imitation of that band (Winwood being an understated vocalist cut from a different mold than Jack Bruce). Frankly, their debut generated more buzz for the picture on the outside (featuring Ginger Baker's teenage daughter) than the music inside. Still, enough people were interested in the Blind Faith experiment to vaunt the record into the top position on both sides of the Atlantic.
