A lovely song with a lovely sentiment, “Moon Shadow” prefigured the triumphant Teaser And The Firecat. When the album appeared, the song remained the same but its title had been condensed into a single word. For some reason, this song always reminds me of Simon & Garfunkel’s “El Condor Pasa.” The flip side in the US was the not-too-distant Mona Bone Jakon track, “I Think I See The Light.” The two make an interesting thematic pair, though the B side is driven by piano rather than acoustic guitar and sounds like Genesis’ “The Conqueror” (only better).
